Routematch is hiring a Product Communications Specialist / Technical Writer to join our team! The Product Communications Specialist (PCS) is a critical part of our Product and Client Engagement team and is responsible for producing product and process technical documents for a variety of internal and external audiences in different formats. The PCS also provides active involvement throughout the product story creation and evolution process and is a go-to resource within assigned product verticals for product knowledge, support and training. Strong writing skills and MadCap Flare are required.

The Product Communications Specialist will spend most of his/her time:
Produce thorough documentation plans and deliver accurate documentation in a timely manner
Provide clear, concise, usable documentation in a multiple online, print and live formats
Deliver and assist with demonstrations to various audiences
Document various aspects of the product to provide a detailed understanding of the various technical and functional aspects of the product, which can be used across multiple areas of the business for e.g. training, marketing, and customer support
Establish effective relationships throughout the organization, both within Product team and across business units/customers/stakeholders to identify/address gaps in user training, knowledgebase, plans, or process documentation
Contribute product and technical knowledge towards the creation of supplemental content
Skills, traits and talents required for success:
Excellent writing and communications skills
2 years working as a technical writer developing content preferred (manuals, online user guides, system documentation)
Technically competent to understand complex hardware, software, networking and wireless systems
Ability to effectively tailor the message and format depending on the audience and purpose
Ability to grasp complex concepts and break them down into laymen’s language
Strong commitment to providing superior customer service
Meticulous, thorough and organized
Effective collaboration and contribution to the team effort
Fluent in MadCap Flare Adobe Captivate or similar software
