We’re hiring a Senior Project Manager (PM) to lead large implementations for our government clients that include software, hardware and mobile components.  You’ll collaborate with our client’s resources and internal teams to deliver complex, customized projects on-time and within budget.  A technical aptitude, effective consulting skills and strong project management techniques are critical to delivering the right solution, managing expectations and ensuring a positive experience for all.  The PM juggles multiple projects and no two projects are the same.  Up to 70% US travel is required
The ideal person is an intrinsically motivated, resourceful self-starter with experience managing large engineering and/or software projects for government or public sector clients.  Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills with the ability to juggle multiple personalities and projects will be critical to your success.  You must have a good understanding of hardware, software, mobile, and networking technology and have a passion for making each project successful.

As a Project Manager, you will
  • Lead and manage hardware, software and mobile deployment projects from sales to go-live
  • Understand business requirements to design an optimal solution within budget, time, and resource constraints
  • Prioritize requirements, establish deadlines, clarify responsibilities, assign tasks, resolve project issues and drive the project to completion
  • Communicate directly with the client to manage expectations, scope changes, and monitor client contributions and tasks
  • Maintain documentation and status in Routematch tools to track and manage resources, tasks, project status, milestone achievement, risks, risk mitigation plans and budget
  • Manage risk including monitoring the project and providing contingency planning
  • Follow Routematch processes and standards
  • Lead and motivate the team and promote teamwork and communication
Experience and skills required for success
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 7+ years of demonstrated success as a Project Manager driving enterprise software or engineering projects
  • 2+ years of experience managing projects for state and/or municipal government entities
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience working with enterprise software solutions
  • Excellent communication, consulting and negotiation skills with the ability to quickly develop relationships with all levels of an organization and a wide variety of personalities
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Resourceful, flexible, adaptable and ability to work well with limited direction and oversight
  • Professional and confident presence with a consultative, customer-focused attitude
  • Enjoys a challenge, problem solving and committed to excellence
  • Strong sense of ownership and the ability to wear a lot of hats
  • Innovative, inventive and curious – always asking questions and learning
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time
Preferred experience and skills
  • GIS technology experience
  • Transportation or logistics industry experience 
  • PMP certification; Six Sigma certification
