We’re hiring a Systems Engineer responsible for building, modifying, and maintaining our infrastructure.  Strong Windows, VMWare, Citrix and SAN are required and you'll have the opportunity to learn and work with AWS / cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong sense of urgency and analytical problem-solving skills.  Routematch is a fast-paced, dynamic and high-availability environment and you must have the ability to consistently perform in high-pressure situations.

Main responsibilities include
  • Install, configure, test and maintain complex infrastructure
  • Support daily system operations--monitor system utilization and response times, identify and respond to IT incidents and outages
  • Manage security, backup, monitoring and storage solutions
  • Provide Level 2/3, rotational on-call escalation support (about 1 week/month)
  • Develop and document system diagrams and standard operating procedures
  • Identify opportunities for automation, build and deploy custom scripts
  • Provide technical training and support to IT staff
Experience and skills required for success
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, IT, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ year experience with hardware and software installation, configuration and maintenance
  • Strong expertise in any of the following areas:
    • Windows Server administration and Active Directory
    • Citrix XenApp/Xen Desktop, NetScaler, Studio, etc.
    • VMware administration and configuration
    • SAN/NAS appliances, preferably Dell Compellent
    • LAN/WAN networking, TCP/IP protocols
  • ​Preferred experience with the following:
    • AWS Cloud administration EC2, S3, ECS, ELB
    • Scripting--Power Shell, bash, Terraform, Ansible
    • Linux administration and Docker containers
  • Strong sense of urgency and customer service orientation
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and communicate with other team members
  • Ability to write technical documentation a plus
